Program Director, Liberal Arts

Dr. Olmsted joined Excelsior College 23 years ago as Managing Editor in the Assessment Unit and became Associate Executive Director of the Center for Educational Measurement, before moving to the School of Liberal Arts in 2014. Dr. Olmsted has a doctorate and master’s degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison in comparative literature and a bachelor’s degree from Wilmington College in literature and language, as well history and government. Her expertise includes credit by exam, prior learning assessment, competency-based education, and liberal arts. Dr. Olmsted currently works as a program director, overseeing the general liberal arts degrees, religion courses, and the academic well-being of Excelsior’s Judaic Studies students.
