About Andrew Hurd, PhD
Andrew Hurd, PhD is the Faculty Program Director for Cybersecurity at Excelsior College. Dr. Hurd is responsible for curriculum development and degree requirements for both the bachelor’s degree and master’s degree programs in Cybersecurity. Prior to joining Excelsior, Dr. Hurd worked as an Assistant Professor at Hudson Valley Community College and Adjunct Professor at SUNY Albany. He holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, a Master of Science in Teaching Mathematics, and a PhD in Information Sciences, with a specialization in Information Assurance and Online Learning. Andrew won the SUNY Chancellors award for Excellence in Teaching in 2012 while working at Hudson Valley Community College.
